Hi all, Just finished my lighting mount for my first reef tank. :). Cost me around $100 but its all made of alloy. I purchased Viper Spectre 165w LED's x2 for my 4ft tank. The instructions say the lights should be 8" above the water line. Anyone had experience with these lights? 8" seems a bit far away. Will they grow most corals?

Any feedback would be appreciated.
