Need a blueprint or idea of a small and nice looking protein skimmer that can fit directly in my 20 gallon long tank. Please respond.

Have you tried google? There are dozens of variations out there.

I check google and couldn't find what I was looking for and I want DIY idea not products.

OK, what are you looking for? Did you find any design that was close? There are air stone driven ones, impeller driven, injection pump driven, etc.

I looking for air stone driven ones.Do you know or have heard of a design that I have described.

Here's a DIY skimmer that I built for giggles. It's running in my LR curing bin.

Take 2 gatorade bottles. Cut the bottom off of one and cut the other one about 5" down from the top.

Drill through both bottle caps and slide a piece of PVC through them (make sure that the threads are pointing out, away from each other. Silicone the pipes to the caps to seal them.

Drill a hole through the side of the larger bottle near the bottom and slide some airline tubing through the hole; attach an airstone to the tubing.

Screw the bottles onto the caps.

Place the bottles in the tank.

Attach the airline to the pump and turn it on.

Have fun.
