DIY stand

Im building a DIY stand my 80 gallon rimless build. I was wondering is particle board ok just for the doors??
Everything else was built with 2x4's except for the topper(plywood).

Particle board can soak up the water and swell. Maybe if you were to prime it and or seal it it may hold up for a while. If you are trying to make a nice stand, might as well go with a plywood.
