im makeing a 20gal high sump for my 55 gallon FOWLR. its a wetdry with a micron sock, along with that carbon and gfo. an overflow thats capable of 1320gp but on a ball valvle limteding to about 1000gph.Aquarium Water Pumps & Water Movement: Lifegard Aquatics Quiet One Pro Aquarium Pumps using this pump {4000} im hard piping this one only thing not decided yet is my return like a spraybar or jet .post pictures later today.

I dont have a picture of mine yet, but hard plumb pvc to a 90 degree elbow over the top of your tank and reduce it to Loc-Line. You can add different nozzles and even Y's to split the flow to go in different directions. This is the cleanest look IMHO!

You don't want to restrict your overflow, only your return, thats what will dictate your overflow GPH.
