If you need a power head shaft or a grounding probe, any metal in the saltwater aquarium. Stainless Steel "SS316" is safe and I am using it for many years without any problems. Titanium is the best but very expensive.
You can get parts at the link bellow.

I noticed on my mag 5 it has metal screws. I was sure they would rust but they have yet to do so. Not sure what kind of screws they are

The only time i seen rust was when using as ground probes, probably the electric current created by magnetism. If its totally submerged no problem.

yes stainless will rust but much much slower than normal steele. also if you will keep it completely submerged and not aloow oxygen to reach it it will rust much slower. also dont allow it to get hot ever. heat rapidly increases oxidation.
