DIY Tunze 9004 air intake silencer

I have an old Tunze 9004 skimmer in my 25 cube - I like it very much it is quite unique and different than the others. I know it there are problems with it - microbubbles, nightmare to assemble, frequent clogging but still it is one of the best nano skimmers around with surface skimming and low profile.
There are so many things that Tunze could do better with this skimmer but they decided to go with their Comline and using same black box as for all their filters... bad idea.
One of the problems I had was with the air intake tube and the silencer - it was too loud and the line too long and I was afraid it can flood my floor.
I have this model with old silencer not the new one with the silencer integrated in the magnet.

I've used and old vial from Salifert KH test and a cap from a bottle I had in hand:

And the final result, it quite silent almost invisible and more effective than original because of the very short tubing.

And just to add with my silencer is much easier to flush the tubing with vinegar or water - just inject some with syringe directly in the silencer without removing anything.
With this skimmer you need to do this quite frequently (in my case 3-4 times per week) to avoid tube clogging.
