I have a Waterbox 65.4 AIO & I have one DMP-40 on random mode at 30% on the left side. It’s as close to the front glass as it can be, and I feel like it’s way too much flow for my hammers that are near it. I was thinking of grabbing GMP-20’s or DMP-20’s. Would love any input.

I also have a second DMP-40 in a box meant to go on the other side of the tank to have the flow clash. Would this help? My corals are all small frags not big colonies.

I have a IM SR80 24x18 w/ dmp40 and mp40. I had the dmp40 because I was getting algae build up. I recently turned off the DMP40 since you can't have it below 30%, it was just too much flow.
Theirs a guy on Etsy that makes flow adjustment covers for the dmp40
I also have a flow adjuster for the mp40. I currently just have that on at 30-35% and my corals are much happier

Yeah I’m thinking of ordering the DMP or GMP 20’s and selling my DMP-40’s. It’s just a little too much flow considering I have my DMP-40 so far away from the rock work and corals. Good to know im not the only one that finds 30% way too strong

You can’t lower any dc motored pump below 30 or the motor won’t be able to function. Other brands whose apps allow a percent below 30 are adjusting for the limitation.
10% = 10% of the available range, not 10% of overall power

I run a dmp 20 in my 35 nem system. 2 in your system should work well. I would run 2 but where the tank is located the magnet is to close to a post with metal in it. It spins backward, lol, so I use a ow-10 along with the dmp20.
Its covered by a Tunze 6105 gaurd for the nems.
