Hi
Thinking of getting a 40b for my first reef tank, but they were pretty poorly rated. Is that just because the only people leaving reviews are the people who had issues or that they just suck? I have had a 5.5-gallon from them, and that was fine. If they do suck I was thinking of getting a seapora one then a 20g tank for the sump as I would hope the smaller tanks are less prone to leaks.

Yes they do have qc issues

I see a good variance from one tank to another. Some panels are slightly off, inconsistency in silicone, and so on. That being said, just inspect in person and it should be obvious which one is done well.

I have a 55g aqueon on a diy stand and that one is okay but the picture is of my brand new 75g w bubble in the seam

I am most likely going to go to Petco once they have a sale and inspect the tanks for any bubbles as it seems like the quality can just vary a ton.
