Thinking corals can tolerate a very little undetected ammonia. Perhaps they will consume it and turn it into nitrates. Thanks all

Certain corals will absorb nitrates to grow (Xenia comes to mind here). Beneficial bacteria is what converts ammonia into nitrates.

Yes, corals consume ammonia and prefer it over nitrate.

Once ammonia is consumed it will not be converted to nitrates. It will be used by that organism.
Will the ammonia be used to feed the coral and or the algae inside the coral? Thanks
