I don't think any coral likes 'blasted.' SPS-type strong random flow is best for any stick. When sand, hair algae, food, etc gets caught on a branch, mine gets a little dead spot.

Always start low and work up.
I run random flow so they are always moving but not thrashing.

Here is a better pic of my slimer colony for reference.

That's a real nice slimer colony.

Ok i can set up random flow. There's a medium flow spot with high light 200 par. Do you think this would be enough? The flow here is random and medium

That's a beautiful piece! What's the flow and light like?
Thanks. I'm surprised how well it's done.

Light is 6 bulb T5 fixture with Blue+ & Coral+ bulbs at the moment. I change color combos sometimes.
Flow in my tank is less than most SPS keepers, I suspect. Tank is a 6' 125 with gyre on one end and MP40 on the other with return pump outlets in the middle third. This colony is right in the middle and high up, so in the highest flow part of the tank.

Based on your high flow i assume mne will do fine. Have you ever seen yours with extended polyps?

Here's mine. Green slimer, as far as I know.
Nice colony! Mine should be that tall and its on its way. I had a foxface that chewed all tops of the slimer only. It took a few months to catch it and rehome it.

So every time I go to my LFS and see the slimers they never have tentacles you can only see the skin. This time this guy's selling a slimer that has visible polyps. The question is do slimers have polyps or is this a mille or something different

They will have extended polyps if *happy.

Like this, mine in the mood, lol.
