Do GSP need to eat?

I have been giving it reef roofs and it closes up when I do
I lot of what I read said they don’t need anything

does anyone elts feed their GSP?

no, you don't... It'll soon take over your tank on it's own, it needs no help from you.. It gets all of what it needs from the water column.

I don’t and never have. All mine have grown like weeds. I banned them from my tanks for ten or so years. Just reintroduced in a controlled fashion a couple years ago. I love them. Never feed them specifically.
