I just got this dude a couple days ago.

When I feed the clowns he comes out looking at me like where is mine?

Or is there enough food in the tank?

As the name says ... cleaner shrimp .. they will eat left over food , ditritus .. plus what else they can get ... but spot feeding is also good .. you can even feed them by hand if you want .. great addition to any tank !!!

What does that mean? I have rods purple, mysis, flakes and spectrum pellet
Spot feeding just means feeding them specifically!! Mysis , Artemia , or flakes doesn’t matter !!

Spot feeding I mean? I only drop a few pieces of food for clowns and then a few more and a few more until they stop.

How do I get to the shrimp without clowns being pig s

I broadcast feed and the shrimp crawls along the surface eating. Sometimes takes the whole cube and runs off. Trust and believe he will find the food.

Fish are opportunistic eaters, remember, in the wild they will keep eating because they will never know when they will eat next, if you slowly feed your fish they will keep consuming it, if you feed them a little faster then the fish can't consume it all and that will leave left overs for your cleaner shrimp, mine comes out as soon as the food hits the water and savages for left overs.

Feed the fish first , then when they are eating put a little near where the shrimp is .. is one method .. but I wouldn’t worry to much about it , like already mentioned they are scavengers .. and usually they go all over the tank when lights are out !!

Drop a little near his safe spot/burrow after the lights go out.

Mine does the same thing, I will feed some brine shrimp and he will take the whole cube, along with my hand.
He also loves eating reef roids from the little medicine thing I use to feed the corals.
