I have 200g display tank that’s 6ft long. I currently have the following stocked.

4 × Clownfish
1 × Flame Angel
2 × Debelius Fairy Wrasse
2 × Carpenter’s Flasher Wrasse
2 × Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse
1 x Melanurus Wrasse
1 x Royal Gramma
1 x Orange Fin Tomini Tang
1 x Blue Eye Kole Tang
1 x Coral Beauty
1 x Yellow Angel

Will/want to add the following, I think I’m really asking if I’ll have enough space for the Butterfly’s.

1 x Purple Tang
1 x Diamond Goby
1 x Mandarin
2 x Pyramid Butterfly

Many of the fish on your list are species I haven't kept but I likely won't attempt to house any fairy wrasses with fast, aggressive fish like tangs again.
They're just very easily shook by the fast feeding habits tangs have, retreat to the rocks and don't show again until the feeding is done resulting in a fish that becomes emaciated and eventually perishes.
Personally, i'd add either the tangs and some other studier fish or add a screen on top of that tank and make ornamental wrasses your pets. not both.

Unfortunately they are already in the tank together and so far they are all doing well. Hopefully the addition of a purple tang will be okay.

I see a lot competition for the Mandarin for pods unless you can grab one eaten frozen/pellets. Maybe the experts will chime in but not sure if the diamond goby will be a threat to it. Purple maybe iffy. Looking at the list the PT will probably be the tank boss and they are known to be aggressive. IMe, if they are not the tank boss they are usually pretty tamed.

I agree with the Mandarin, might have to add pods monthly. With the PT being added last I hope that will help keep it “calm” lol.

I have a Purple and he has grown very fast and is mean, mostly to other Tangs. My Emperor is the Tank boss though.

So this is more of a fish overcrowding question vs a compatibility question?

If so, the basic rule of thumb ive seen is an inch of livestock per gallon of your tank. So you’d add up the average adult size of all the fish in your tank.

So at 22 fish, that be around 9” average, so I’d say none of your fish are going to be that big. You could probably get away with 40 fish if they are in the 3-5” avg size

How accurate that is,I couldnt say, thats just what I’ve heard. Ive seen some tanks really crowded with fish that look like they are doing fine.

Four clownfish huh? How long have you had them? 2 may very well end up in the obituary. Agreed with above re: Purple Tangs. Beautiful but aggressive. Wouldn’t be my choice, maybe a Blonde Naso Tang. Good luck though.

They have been together for about a year. They do great together.

Mine was more of an anecdote than a hard rule but if they're together and out in the open you're having better luck than I did with the fairy's which is great news.

If a mandarin is in your want list don't wait on those pods. Add them asap and build a population that is regenerative, especially if you have a refugium.
