Stocking opinions on established reef tank

After a very stressful move in Feb, I lost several of my fish to shock/temp issues. I lost my orchid dotty, juv. tomini tang and sixline wrasse.
My tank is looking empty and my nitrates are bottoming out, so its time to restock.

My tank has been set up 6 years now -- moved 4 times (thank you renting). I have 2 occellaris clownfish that are 6 and started the tank (the female is not terribly territorial but she will nip fins) and a Yellow Watchman Goby that is 5 yrs old. There is a non-pairing pistol shrimp and a variety of other safe inverts. I absolutely want to replace my Tomini tang with another small juvenile. I am interested in getting some wrasses and other small-med fish. I'm looking for 2-3 wrasse. Fairy and flashers seem to be the most suitable for a muti-wrasse tank. No leopards, sixline , or wrasses that will demolish my small inverts (ie. porcelin crab, pom pom crab, clam, etc) I have little experience with flashers, so would be open to ideas on which are non-combative.

Main Tank: Old version of the Aquatop Eco Recife, 48 gallons with 14 gal sump. 36"(W)x18"(D)x18"(H)
My QT is a 20g (standard) I do not plan to pre-treat with copper. I only plan to QT 1 time if possible so I can reduce risk of disease to my established fish.

- Ochre Striped Cardinalfish
- Blenny (so many to choose from. Not a biter.)

-Pintail/Lubbock

48g seems pretty small for all those fish. Seems like there will be limited swimming room eventually, especially for the tang even tho the tomini stays smaller. I have a orange back fairy wrasse that I love and is so funny so that could be a good one but I would say don’t go too crazy

Agreed, your tank isn’t huge so I wouldn’t plan to get a bunch of fish. The tang would be enough since they are smaller but they require a lot more oxygen. You may want to look at little fish if you plan to replace the tang ( clown gobys are adorable) or stick with a wrasse and the tang. I will say if you are needing “filler” fish to give your tank the look of being busy, don’t underestimate the blue chromies. They hang out at the top of the tank, are low bioload, and get to be a good size. They are also super chill.

I do love orange back wrasses too! About the same price range as the pintail.
Yeah the tank usually looks nearly empty. YWG only comes out for dinner or lurks in its cave and the clownfish host the one area. Not a fan of chromies unfortunately.
Looking to boost bio load since Ive been having to dose nitrates, even before the move and losing the 3 fish.
