My tank is low nutrient tank.
Having trouble keeping nitrate at 1 or 2 so I feed heavily and add red sea coral coloration A/B daily. I don't want to take out my biopellet reactor or refugium because its low maintenance (Dosing 2 parts along with minor elements and no water change is a dream)

My question is to achieve color like Instagram reefers, do I need to feed additional food like reefroid? Even when I'm dosing red sea coral coloration A/B?

Help!! drop the knowledge for newbie!

Your corals will like you much more if you can get away from the low nutrient system (add more fish) but this depends on your own goals

Look at most of the Tanks Of The Masters article I think it’s called, non are low nutrient

But you can also try Reef Roids, I use this and Reef Energy but I’m more swayed towards Roids these days after using both which I still do.

At 10-15ppm Nitrate my corals glow with life. Phosphate locked down very low at 0.03ppm target

Thanks. I think 4 fish is already too much for my tank since it has lots of rock (yellow tang, pair of clownfish, yellow corris wrasse) I wanted to add more small nano fishes but wife loves loves yellow tang so i had a no choice.

So would you recommend using both so I can raise my nitrate? Sad thing is I can't remove either biopellet reactor or refugium because I feel like 100% tank going to crash. So I need to add something. ( I dont want to dose nitrate and phosphate tho... I just dont like the idea of it)

You can use both yes, but there supposed to be low in nutrients themselves (so shouldn’t have a major effect on Nitrate/phosphate), but they will feed the corals for sure. Just make sure the skimmer is turned off for 30-60 minutes so it’s not skimmed out

It’s sounds like with that number of fish and running a BioPellets reactor and refugium, you have plenty in place for exporting nutrients, but not much going in.

And you don’t look anywhere near over stocked to me by any means. Take a look at my tank, or it may just be my eyes that I can’t see properly and my fish addiction!! Lol

Your colors look fine to me in your photos. Might just need to start dropping more money on silly named frags and doctoring your pics if you want “instagram corals”.
Yep, I imagine almost all pics on Instagram, etc. receive some "fine tuning"
