I recently moved apartment.
It has central ac but wife dosent want to turn on all the time. I realized most of the time room temp stays around 80~84 these days. However I do not know summer temperature. Maybe lot more..

Now my question is do I need chiller or fans?
Does fan works even ambiance temperature is high? Thanks in advance

I lived in an apartment in southern California that didnt have ac. I hooked two 6" cooling fans up to turn on at 79° and a chiller to turn on at 80°. In the last 10 months, the chiller never turned on. The room temp would get over 86° and I was running a metal halide. Fans were more than sufficient

Fans work by encouraging evaporation (sort of like a swamp cooler). High ambient temperatures won't be a problem, but high relative humidity will.

I like out in The Blistering heat of AZ and during the Summers times I just use a 5' clip on fan and also have a floor fan circulating torts it.
