do i need more light?

I have a t8 50/50 light on my 20g and would like to have a small amount of reef plants. So far all I have is a star polyp. Would I need more light to have anemone? What other plants could live in this light?

You should look into a stronger lighting system if you want to keep more marine plants (coral). There are many options available and it depends on what you can afford, what coral you are keeping, and what look you like the most.

Maybe look at some leds for that size tank.
