Do nutrient levels have an effect on coral coloration?

Not really an answer and more of an observation. I have heard (I’m not an expert!) that it depends. We all know that softies like/want/need higher nutrients. SPS however are just the opposite. What I’ve been taught is that coloring is primarily dependent on the lighting as the photosynthesis is what drives the coloration…deepening with the right balance and bleaching with too much/too little. I know they also need good aminos to help nutritionally. So, all of the above perhaps with the words “right balance” being the solution.
