I have a Candy Cane Pistol shrimp in my nuvo 20. Hes been in there about 3 months, his ymg went carpet surfing 2 days after I got them. He was alone untill a couple weeks ago I got a hi fin goby and they paired right up. Since then Ive only seen the goby out a couple times. My shrimp comes running when I feed the tank with my long pipette. Hes not shy and grabs all he can and takes it back to the cave. I used to be able to see the hi fin in there and hed eat when Id blow food in there. Since the shrimp moved caves I havnt seen the goby, but shrimp keeps taking food back is he possibly sharing? Wish the goby would come out more so I know hes okay

I don’t think my pistol shrimp would give food up to the goby but I’m sure there is some waste. When the goby is hungry it will eat. I wouldn’t be surprised if the goby comes out at night looking for food.
It’s always hard when a fish hides making our minds wonder
