Do SPS polyps grow back?

I have a ORA green birdsnest that my flame angel aquired a taste for the polyps.

Part of the polyp is still thier just not as long as some, and the bright green ends are missing.

new growth will form if the angel is gone

I put the birdsnest in another tank.

Angel will not be going in 90 upgade.
