Do these really work

Has anyone purchased and using one of these? Considering it but wondering if they really work. Looks like the swabbie could cause the bubbles to collapse and reduce effectiveness? Would love to see a video of a skimmer skimming (bubbles over flowing the neck) despite the installation of the Swabbie.

I just hooked mine up 4 days ago, and so far it works awesome. It only comes on for 1 minute so it doesnt affect the bubbles in the skimmer. I can say that the skimmer is definitely more effective with a clean neck all the time and seems to be pulling more gunk out. I would certainly recommend it.
