I have a waterbox AIO tank with a sump in the back. I've noticed a ton of hair algae growing back there. I was wondering if you clean yours out or let it grow. I was also wondering if it's worth getting an inTank cover to cover the sump to reduce growth.

Is it in your display or just the back chambers? Hair algae is caused by high nutrients and or too much lighting. What are your NO3 and PO4 levels? I would get phosphate and nitrates under control first because if you remove it from the sump, it’s going to grow somewhere else most likely the display. I’d rather it grow out of sight and consume nutrients than have to battle it in the display.
