ONly type of clean up crews I have are snails. No hermits or shrimps in my tanks anymore well may be a group of Harlquin shrimps.

Why would you not? Inverts are just a piece of the formula to having a successful reef.

I have never even seen my urchin near the corals. It actually hides a lot. I thought they only eat algae?

I thought they did too but have had people to tell me that they have eat SPS also. It is different with each one just like reef safe fish some still get a taste for corals.

If a member of the crew is eating specific corals.

Then wouldn't you just remove that piece of the puzzle. Long term success is bred by stability and divirsity. The hardest thing about keeping a tank long term is that we limit the divirsity. I have seen plenty of tanks go sterile and cause unexplainable troubles.

I only have nassarius snails for now. Plan on picking up a few other snails. Won't due blue leg hermits again, as they killed all my snails before.

I also keep Nassarius, speciafically Nassarius vibex, which do not eat algae, however other species of Nassarius snails do ;)
