Tried microbacter7 and did not do anything noticeable for my cyanobacteria outbreak. I have not tried vibrant and was wondering if anyone would recommend it.

No. Vibrant works on green stuff, cleared bubble algae for me. Many hate it, but it did appear to work in my case.

Cyano is a bacteria, try Chemi-Clean, reasonably fool proof.

Make sure you’ve corrected the imbalance that caused it first or it may just return after treatment.

Bacterial treatments work but it’ll take weeks before you see results. Vibrant is definitely not a good idea.

Cyano Clean is a bacterial species that helped me with a pretty bad Cyano outbreak. Took about 4 weeks for it to be fully eradicated but al of my corals remained healthy and I didn’t have a nutrient imbalance at the end of the dosing period.

the class of algaecides in question are actually more effective against all of cyanos competitors - diatoms, green algae etc. And using them often results in tanks getting cyano as other algae types are killed/stressed.

I had red slime algae all over my sand and rocks. I tried chemiclean multiple times and it was not effective for more than a few days. I am on my second dose of Vibrant and it's almost gone. Vibrant for me has been much more effective. Has not harmed acros or mushrooms.

Chemiclean will kill a lot of bacteria, not just the cyano. It will then cause an imbalance and you will most likely get brown stuff growing (at least I did).

I used Chemiclean in my sps tank with zero problems. Cyano gone in 48 hours. No problems afterwards. Followed directions exactly. I did dose with microbacter7 afterwards. People that say they had problems had the problem starting anyways.

I would not recommend vibrant for my mortal enemies tank. Just run away from that stuff.
