I remember $20 tangsYellow tangs $30.
3 for $75.
I remember that too. Still have your tanks?I remember hiring a trucking company to bring 4 pallets of Southdown sand to S. Calif. as it was not sold west of the Mississippi. I sold it for cost and met lots of reefers. Loaded up my Suburban so it sagged and took a load to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a reefing convention and met more reefers, one even drove down from Canada for the parking lot exchange.
Yes I do. The 180 gallon is in my hallway and the built-in wall 225 gallon tank is currently empty as it has a leak and I need to have it rebuilt or replaced. It was one of the first glass front Starfire with acrylic back and sides that was custom manufactured and it only lasted about 15 years.I remember that too. Still have your tanks?
What about the 60 by the door?Yes I do. The 180 gallon is in my hallway and the built-in wall 225 gallon tank is currently empty as it has a leak and I need to have it rebuilt or replaced. I sold that swim through tube tank and replaced it with the 180 gallon. You have quite the memory! You can PM me your name if you want. Nice to see some of the old timers still around. What about the 60 by the door?

Why we became obese :crying-face:... and a Big Mac a $1.42...
Winner winner chicken dinnerI remember reefing when there was no such thing as reefing. When the only fish available were blue devils and Sargent Majors and they were very expensive. No corals of any type.
I remember removing my dead coral skeletons that we decorated our tanks with and bleached them every week and maybe added a little acid to make them whiter.
I remember when there was no ASW, (we had to collect water) no test kits, no salt water lights, or filters. When there were no protein skimmers or salt water gravel.
No Powerheads.
I remember when this was the only salt water magazine,
No all glass tanks, and no copper medications.
No credit cards and no LFSs. Only pet shops. No cell phones, computers or color TV.
(black and white TV was invented the year before I was born) :anguished-face:
I remember when fish were sold as "toy fish" in toy stores.
I remember when PODS were so plentiful, they came like this.
I remember Ed Sullivan and when at 10:00 PM TV went off and turned black with nothing on on any of the 6 channels that were in existence.
I remember when we used to try to get Majanos and Aiptasia to live in our tanks and we fed them.
I remember reefing when I had hair.
