I think when you just simplify the chemistry as much as possible. Quite worrying about all the little trace elements and concentrate on keeping a stable system. Keep Cal, Alk, Salinity and Temp stable and enjoy! You can also take a peak at Phosphates from time to time!

Im simple so I love simple lol
Its simple with you keep it simple.
Examples.
This tank ran for over 6 years with nothing but WCs and kalk. Never did an ICP.

3+ years on this one with nothing but AFR with an occasional water change. No ICP again (notice a trend 😉 )

Last one. A bit over 1 year. 2g WC every few weeks and a squirt of AFR using a pipette each morning.
