Dodged a tank crash

Had a power outage last night around 9pm that lasted less than 5 minutes. I figured once the power came back on everything will come back up like it always had before so I didn't check before heading to bed. Tried turning on computer for work this morning but nothing. My heart sank when I realized the breaker tripped and nothing on the tank came back up. Thought once the lights came on I'll have a tank full of dead fish but miraculously everything survived. Should have known better than to assume. Especially being this long in the hobby that everything that can go wrong is just waiting for a slip up to happen.

I keep a cheap battery operated Penn Plax battery pump on my display tank for just such occasions. It comes with a plug that senses when the electricity is off, so turns on automatically.
