Does anyone else's Royal Gramma behave like this?

Does anyone else's Royal Gramma do this? He used to patrol the whole tank like he was a great white shark for the first year we had it. Then one day he started acting like an eel, didn't even know if he was still alive or how it was eating. This has been going on for months. He just finds these weird positions and lays there motionless. We rarely even see his presence anymore. Very peculiar. He's pretty big at this point. I thought he was dead at one point because he was just laying upside down in the gravel. He's a very interesting fish to watch. Unique personality.

Mine is kind of like a regular fish. Dosent hide stays out all day. If something spooks it it will go down into a main overhang but sometimes its not even bothered by my hand.

I've had several of these fish and they were all regular fish, swimming the tank. This guys personally changed overnight. I honestly thought he was dead, never saw him for probably a week. Now he will maybe dash out real quick and do a u turn then dash back in. He used to be the bully of the tank,,chasing the others and opening his mouth like a shark lol.
