I am going to do a Bonsai look kind of like the crazy4acros guy on RC. I am going to use cement from macro rocks.com. You could get like a thin flat piece and bury it in the sand, then pile up and have another flat piece on top if that is what you're kind of wanting to do.

Me too! i think threading acrylic rods thru live rock would work for the crazy4acros look. i like your post too! more info shared more DIYing!!
