I know they’re not actually Chromis, but wonder if anyone keeps them. Are they a rare find? And how well do they get along with other fish? Do they pair easily?

Are you asking about Amblygphidodon Ternatensis?

Lemon damsel is better looking .....

I purchased a group of about 7 sold as lemon chromis from Live Aquaria and identified as A. ternatensis by them maybe 5 years ago. My thought was they would be an attractive shoaling fish. They did shoal more tightly than blue green chromis but possibly showed more con-specific aggression. Unfortunately all but one died in the first 10 days from what appeared to be uronemia. The survivor is currently 6-7cm and looks like a giant (ugly) long finned blue green chromis. It is pretty aggressive. I don't think they are a particularly common fish in the hobby nor do I expect them to become more popular.

Ahh ok how long have you had it?
Couple of years. Bought along with a pair of ambon damsels (though they were initially sold to me as talbot). Pomacentrus do lose a bit of their coloration as they age, but they are pretty mellow in my tank. I'd been thinking about getting a few more lemons. Never kept the lemon chromis.
