Hi guys! I live in Connecticut next to the Long Island sound. Sometimes I go there to catch crabs and snails and other stuff. I don’t normally do this but this time I dropped in a few snails. A while later (now) I found a baby snail of the same species as the snails from the sound. I wondered how it got here? I only got the bigger snails. Then that got me wondering, maybe I could breed snails. It would be kinda nice cause o could use those dead snail shells for my hermit crabs! Can anyone tell me if it’s easy to breed snails? Like in the main tank easy? I already have a clownfish breeder in my hands so I’m not doing a big project anytime soon. Thanks for the replies, Niko

I am gonna say yes...very easy to breed snails. Every tank that I have ever had I throw snails in, and they multiple like crazy lol. I am sure some species are more difficult than others though.

REALLY? AWESOME! Do they need a partner or no? Also are they only going to breed if the feel comfortable? Like if the water parameters are right?
