Not sure if this is the right forum or not...
Does anyone know if PETG is safe to use as a difuser when running the airline through an ozone generator? I was thinking about running it through my upflow algae scrubber. Also, do you think that would kill the algae in the scrubber if I did that? I found where Polyethylene is ozone safe but haven't found tests for Polyethylene terephthalate glycol. TIA!

According to what I found, PETG is very ozone resistant.

I looked at that before. Is PETG considered the same as PET? Thanks!

PETG is PET with Glycol added. It is more stable. I would worry more about PET/G off gassing by itself and killing fish with or without Ozone. I have a problem that my S/O loves to use an Ozone generator near my 3D printer and now all my prints are peeling up my PEI covered print surface, aka sticking way too much.

Ouch...
