I have used the BRS brand of pellets, also made of PHA with good results. But, BP's are better at reducing the NO3 and some PO4, so you may need to use some GFO in a reactor for the PO4, if the pellets by themselves aren't enough.

Yes, I use Biospheres in my reef. Works very well. I have them in a biopellet reactor by Nextreef, but the AquaMaxx reactor works just as well.
