Does High Phosphate only affect SPS and LPS but not affect Softies?

I just read this:

High phosphate content also can impede calcification (skeleton building).

So does that mean that High Phosphate only affect SPS and LPS but not affect Softies because Softies have no Skeleton?

It will affect Softies if its really up there, but for the most part, no, it doesn't really bother them much. But it really ticks off SPS, LPS can do with some also, but in the lower realms. They usually do'nt color up well unless your close to 0.
 
Softies do use calcium within their structures albeit not as much as sps and lps. Calcium will bond with phosphate and form an insoluble compound which is why reefers prefer to have their phosphates as close to zero as possible.
