I want to start dosing 4mL into my 40 breeder to help with my dino issue and was curious if 4mL once every night will harm my peacock mantis shrimp? Does anyone have any experience with doing this with a Peacock?

I’ve been waiting to see if anyone else responds…..

I’ve never dosed mantis with peroxide, but Lysmata shrimp sure don’t tolerate it. Also, dosing peroxide is tricky; at first, it burns itself up by reacting with organics. When those are used up, the level of unreacted peroxide goes up. That leads to cases where you dose it a few times with no issues, then you dose again and all the shrimp die. I bought low dose peroxide test strips on Amazon to help avoid that issue, but I’m not sure they are still available.

I personally don't care for dosing hydrogen peroxide in a display tank. Sure, it might impact your dinos, but it might also hurt your Manits and it can certainly harm beneficial microbes that may in time outcompete the dinos for real estate. That's just my $0.02 🤪

Dinos are a tough pest, but I do think there's other ways to beat them (including time; just waiting them out often works). Here's a great write up from the late Miami Reef on beating back dinos:

And here's some more info from BRS that I think is largely good, just be aware that they like to try to push the magic bottles of this or that, and I'm not so sure those bottled products really do much, but again, just my $0.02 🙃

Good luck!

Wouldn't chance it.

Dinos there's other methods of dealing with, eventually you won't even have to think about them its just the ugly phase of a tank. The acne of aquariums.
