Does Live Phyto Settle on Glass?

I have been dosing live phyto from AlgaeBarn for the past couple weeks, and I have started to notice that about an hour or so after dosing, my glass is covered with a brownish film. It comes off easily, and looks like a powder as it comes off. Is it common for dosing (2.5ml into a 12 gallon tank) phyto to cause a nearly instantaneous diatom/algae bloom on the glass?

I have no detectable Nitrates or Phosphates in the tank, and I am running a refugium with chaeto that grows quickly, so I doubt there are available nutrients in the tank for anything to use.

Curious to hear what the smarter people say. It’s probably possible? But likely? I wonder if it’s just accumulating on a largely flush but “rough” enough surface. If there’s no direct flow on the glass, or at the spots where it accumulates….
