Does MXM module work with apex sunrise/set calender

Hi

Before I purchase one curious if anyone with a MXM module knows if it can be program to work with the built in sunrise and sunset calendar schedules in the apex. Or does it just give you the same options the mobius app give. Trying to find a way to shift my schedules with sunset though out the year given that it can be anywhere from 430 - 830 based on where I’m at.
 
Bumping this one time. If no feedback by tomorrow will chance the purchase and hope for the best 🤞🏼
 
So to answer my own question the answer is no. It does not directly give you program ability over the time intervals of a direct schedule 😢 however all hope is not lost yet. This still may be achieveable to some degree. Two notable pros of the MXM over mobius

1) if give back individual control of each light
2) for the radions at least it give dedicated outlet/schedule control over the moonlight level

The timing for sure can achieve in the MXM by simply setting the schedules to your set peak intensity and then setting the outlet to just turn on and off based on the sun scheduled. However this will come at the cost of being able to ramp up and down and any parabolic schedule would not be possible only linear. However with the moonlight being on its own outlet. This can probably be programs to just turn on before and after the main schedules kick on so as to give some gradual fade before going completely dark or turning straight on to full intensity. Also because individual control is given back turning each light on one by one if you have multiple in steps to achieve some adnormal form of ramping.

Will play around with it this weekend and see where I land with it. Thanks.
 
So I must correct my last post. After playing around with this more this evening. It does appear the MXM does give the ability to align radion g6s and the AI blades lighting to sun rise and sun set through the use of profiles and using the advancing coding options. I’d images other devices that are able to connect to the mxm would work as well. Still have a few things to tweak and test. But early signs are looking promising. And for the most part have been able replicate my existing schedule which should adapted to daylight schedules.

Only two drawbacks to report so far

1) the use of profiles does not give you the ability to easily fade from one color spectrum to another . However this can somewhat be achieved with profiles but you need to build several profiles that you can schedule to run in steps to achieve a gradual color transition.

2) More complex schedule is ie (ramp ups/down , color shifts…) can get tricky trying to build in profiles when it comes to matching power intensity’s and color shifts. I found rebuilding the schedule in the mobius app first removing the color shifting between intervals at least made it easier to write down the color and power intensity needed for each profile.
 
The new Orphek or4 have a moon and sun sync feature. I just set 2 of them up specifically just for this feature however there is some research to be done as to which the best spectrum is to use for this especially the lunar cycle since you technically want to give the coral a photosynthetic break and giving them light within their photosynthetic spectral range during a light out period may cause harm.

I digress, the Orphek “Sun/Moon” sync is amazing it auto updates every day to the current moonrise/moonset and sunrise/sunset wherever in the world you choose. Very easy interface too I must say. I know your already deep into your light setup but I’d check the orpheks out for a supplemental bar

Nice. At this point I’m committed to getting this to work now lol. For the most part I think I got something working that satisfies what I was after. Few timing bugs I’m still working out where I’m off and they are shutting down for a 1 min when it switches to the next profile because I’m off a minute with my offsets . Think I fixed the last this morning. Interesting enough it would appear the apex schedules do shift a bit day by day I guess to compensated for the increasing or decreasing daylight base on what you fill out in the table. Like right now they are starting at a time roughly between the two times I set for May and jun. and last night the schedule end 3 mins before the actual sun set which I can live with. Only gaps would be now during the months of daylight savings where it shoots up or down and hour. but not a show stopper. And maybe there something builtin that will factor that in. Won’t know till that rolls around though.
