Does this solution actually help Coral Growth

I Think I saw a post about this a little while ago. I've used it off an on for several years and have not seen any significant difference in coral health or coloration whether I use it or not.

I think it’s mostly in advertising. I tried it for a year and didn’t buy more. The yellow color puts off a very strong placebo effect!
It didn’t harm anything but I find the new Bacterioplankton additives to be more satisfying for polyp extension and are conveniently nutrient neutral. I wouldn’t add the Red Sea at nearly the dose they say too and keep in mind it raises phosphates. I found it was a pretty good algae fertilizer. My corals seemed to be a little puffier after addition but I’m not sold on it.

It probably should be adjusted based on how many and how large your corals are as well.
Obviously if you have a few frags, you're not going to want a full dose and if your tank is completely grown out, you'll need a little more

If you already have it, wouldn't hurt to put some in as directed. it certainly won't do any harm. I personally didn't see any crazy difference.

ReefEnergy AB+ is a vitamin, amino acid, and sugar/carbon mixture (https://www.aquafair.de/userfiles/Red-Sea-Reef-Energy-Plus-Inhaltstoffe.pdf).

We know from experiments (https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/half-life-of-amino-acids-in-the-reef-aquarium.1128150/) and studies (https://journals.biologists.com/jeb...2/Uptake-of-dissolved-free-amino-acids-by-the) that certain amino acids are taken up very fast in reef tanks and/or by corals.

As corals and their zooxanthellae can biosynthesize nearly all amino acids we find in their tissue and skeletons (https://reefs.com/magazine/aquarium-corals-amino-acids-and-corals-sources-roles-and-supplementation/), it doesn't seem clear yet, if they rely on supplemental amino acids in the water column.

However, amino acids present an excellent nitrogen source and being able to acquire them from the water might help corals to save energy producing them themselves. The feeding response some corals show might also be an indicator that they at least like amino acids for some reason. Dosing Ammonia and phosphate does not produce the same response, so it might not solely be a nutrient thing.
