Does this solution actually help Coral Growth

I got it about like a couple months ago and I never used it. I was wondering does anyone like really use this stuff? Does it work? I have like a 13 gallon tank but I'll be dosing a very little

On a 13 gallon I would rely on water changes. If you do try it start with a small dose. I have a 14 gallon I would not use it. I do use AFR.

I have used this, but not seen any noticable difference in my coral.

My opinion is that these work best for Ultra Low Nutrient systems, however if you have anough Phosphate and Nitrate in the water already, then its probably not necessary.

Makes you feel like a mad scientist though...

I bought a bottle of that early on. Used it a few times but then I need up chucking the bottle since I don’t believe it does much. I mostly rely on feeding the fish, water changes, and 4-part dosing.

For a 13g system I assume it would take years to get through that bottle!

Ya mine are kinda low I don't think it really matters on the tank size personally because I do water change like every two, 2 and 1/2 Weeks. My tank has been up and running for like 4 years now I'm just going to do like probably 1 ML or one and a half should that be good you think for my tank size

The only annoying thing about this product is that it requires refrigeration.

Well I do use shrimp so not that big of a deal. I refrigerate everything even bottles of bacteria. I just put those in the refrigerator just in case that like I never used

Usage of this product seems very rare amongst those who run the nicest tanks or coral farms. In fact many recommend against using this kind of product.

Favites War Coral frag Lps coral I had for about 5 to 6 weeks and everything was going good and I moved my light white lights up two notches and I've noticed for the past couple of weeks just one piece of coral has been losing a little bit of color on the sides of it around the frag. It's just like tan brownish color

Oh really I can understand that because people want it like all natural and they're running it all natural and like it just looks amazing. What kind of tank do you have?

You need to provide more information about your system as well as parameters for people to be able to help.

You should provide full tank shot as well as a description of 1) how much you feed and how often, 2) what kind of nutrient export you use (skimmer, filter sock, filter roller, water changes and how often, etc), and 3) what do you dose?

From the parameters it looks like phosphates are very low. If you have a decent dosing regime and doing water changes it should not be every to test for calcium and magnesium. I have those tests as well but rarely test for them since my dosing regime takes care of those. That said, it does to test to diagnose for potential problems. I highly doubt calcium or mag is your issue.

The rocks in you picture have very little life in them so I would assume your tank is relatively new. If tank is not new and the rocks look like that there may be bigger issues going on hence the need for full tank shot as well as a more through description of how you run it.

I would consider Favia as amongst the easiest coral to grow so if you can fix the issue your overall tank will be in a much better place.

To clarify, my tank is actually about 5 years old, and I've been in the hobby for 6 years. I'm a bit confused about how you determined my tank was new from just the one rock in the picture

Looks ok to me. What you might be seeing is som dead tissue after fragging along the edges. It is quite new to the tank. In my opinion. Wait until lights out about 2 or 3 hours and then shine a flashlight on it. If you see it’s polyps out your good. That’s mine have it about 5 years. Amazing what it looks like when light are out and full polyps extended
