Hi everyone. I recently made a tank stand and it turned out horrible. This stand came with the aquarium I bought, and he screwed out the sides so it could fit in the car. It had a picture of it holding water fully with rocks but I'm still worried. Can I do anything to improve it? This time I used more structural screws and used titebond wood glue putting it back together. I will add 3 wood going front to back at the top. I'm losing my mind I've spent so much on wood

Spend another 10 bucks or so, and get some 2x4's and cut them so that they fit vertically in-between the top and bottom frame. This will fully support the weight of the tank without issue. Take a look at this design, I think you need to add the pieces he has colored as purple. See how they're what takes the weight of everything from the tank down through the top frame to the bottom frame and the floor?

I hope that helps!

I would cut to size a 3/4 inch piece of plywood to cover the back and secure with plenty of screws. this will help stop any left to right leaning and possible collapse. you can cut holes in the plywood for plumbing and wires if needed
