Hiya
one of my new powerheads is vibrating even after i replaced the shaft and propeller with a new so i guess it just needs to break in will the vibrations do damage to the glass or silicone seals.
many thanks

Can't be good for it.
I turned down the phead pump on my nano as it was vibrating such that I thought it would bother the fish.
Is it too late to return it?
Never heard of a break in like that.

If you ask me the answer is likely a technical yes but a practical no.

I am a big fan of WaveBoxes and the rocking motion is known to shorten the life of tanks because of the wear on seals but I have a leemar glass tank that is now 23 years old. If it reduces the life by 20% then it will still last for over 18 years which is far longer than most people keep a tank.

That only works on empty wine glasses and blasting Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture ;Woot
