Does your eel sleep?

I did not know that eels slept. I recently got a baby Tessalata eel. Day after I got him he was upside down breathing as if he was about to go in the middle of the day, scared the bejeezus out of me. Sometimes he uses deco rock as a pillow. Interesting never knew, gotta love nature! Will post pictures next time I catch him snoozing. In the meantime - youtube it.
