Don’t know what happened to my torch

My torch looks strange and the tentacles look dark at the end and little bit inflated. Is this something that could end up killing It or would it go away over time.

My torch does this some times as well. I'll go do something with my kids or do something around the house and come back and it will look normal. That is my 2 cents. Does it do this often? long periods of time?

This is the first time it has happened. Do I need to feed it or is it fully photosynthetic
