So i put a new back drop on and cleaned my power heads today. Now i need to go and adjust everything again since my flow is a lot higher. Turned one powerhead to 50% the larger one on the right the ecodrift something. The small one on the left is the eco drift 4.0 sometimes i think i have to much flow.
So here is what my lights run at its peak. I have an ai hydra 52 hd over my 60 still working on that sweet spot for the corals. Any suggestions is always welcomed. Thank you and Dont Give Up!
My lighting schedule. Its starts at 4 a.m. ramps up for an hour i think not sure. Stays blues till 8 a.m. then the cw red and greens come on. At 5 p.m. the cw red green turn off and blues stay on till bout 23:45. Not sure if this long lighting schedule hurts. Still new to all this.
Here are some shots from my 60 growing. Sadly some of the stuff is not with us any more. The powder blue has moved into a few other peoples tanks. It survived in my tank for almost a year. I purchased a captive bred mandarin and the powder blue went nuts at it. So i decided the pbt had to go.
A few more. I tried so hard to make the acros to grow. I have learned that acros dont like any swing in the alk cal and sal catagories. I believe that the acros browned out in my system do to high nitrates. Some of my acros i gave to my bro to put in his 90. The acros got the color back and are thriving in his system today
Holy cow at some point i stopped growing coral and just grew coraline algae. I am still having issues with coraline algae today. It grows so fast in my system. Thanks for checking out my story and journey in this hobby.
I got two colors on one frag cant see it very well. The big frag in front is seperate from the brown color frag which has green has well. I broke the green piece off to let the brown grow more. Waiting to see if it colors better. Still cool to see.
