Dosing brine shrimp?

So I just recently set up my Red Sea aquariums four head doser. I’m currently set up with 1 ml of seachems part 1Ca and 2 ml of seachems part 2Kh. I just ordered a brine shrimp hatchery, and I feel like I’ve seen mention of it so with that being said does anybody tried or have experience dosing brine shrimp, and keeping them alive to dose? And while I’m at it? Any thoughts on something to use the final head for assuming I use the third for brine shrimp?

Cool looking hatchery-- $20 doesn't buy much these days, so it will be interesting to see whether it works for you. (I see no Reviews, so far.) Interesting idea to 'dose' the shrimp. Let's see what people say.

I don't use a doser, but I do hatch fresh baby brine shrimp every day. I use a pipette, so I don't think dosing tubing will be an issue. I think the main thing you will have an issue with is trying to keep the egg shells out of the tank. Also, the nutritional value of baby brine shrimp is small after they lose their yolk sac. So if you keep them for longer you'll have to gut load them.

Edit: You could use the last head to dose phytoplankton.

I manually dose as well, after about 3-4 days the culture crashes ( smells bad) and I start all over.

It has no electrical components and is designed to keep the hatched eggs in a separate area than the collection area. I dose the freshly hatched brine daily by hand to all tanks. A hatch will give you the right amount to feed them while they're still most nutritious. I find that the corals love them as much as the fish do. You can have a new batch in roughly 16 to 18 hours.

That San Francisco Bay brine shrimp hatchery is about 50 years old. It works, but the one that King Ranch linked above works more better

The orange cloud :-D it's very true and fun to watch everything consume it!

I usually just dump them in, but sometimes ill target feed the scolys and acans when their feeders are out. You can turn down flow to let them "settle in" a bit more, but I usually dont.

I think everything in your tank will love it without as much chance of those nasty nutrient spikes! My corals have never looked better, and ive fed them everything in the book. The past 4 months with the brine have made such a noticeable difference.

It's just something else you can do that gives you more time with the hobby. Great work with the SPS BTW!

Same as @kingranch2003. I mainly broadcast from the cup and the cloud swirls around. But I also will use a pipette to do a few targeted squirts.

It’s a low cost (a jar of eggs lasts forever using only 1 scoop of the BRS stuff) and pretty quick way to mix up feeding imo. Plus it’s fun watching fish chase them.

Don’t know how great my picture is but it’s from Cornbred corals on eBay
Frags are actually decent and more than fair sized imo for the price I paid on auction and literally every coral was healthy looking and opening and in person even on the small frag I can see the blue and yellow skeleton

The rest of the frags in the white rack except the blue acro are from him! As well as a little blasto that was priced very well for the color it has!

That’s awesome, can’t wait to see them start growing, I feel I’m just now hitting my stride to keep acros growing! and knock on wood lol.
