So I have a pretty stocked WB220 and I have been dosing Calcium (BRS) through the Apex DOS. I am up to 72ml a day (not sure if thats a lot or not) but that keeps me right around 470 ppm. Using Tropic Marin Pro for salt and have been forever. At what amount would I start looking for an alternative instead of dosing?

Your tank is not consuming enough calcium. Stop dosing calcium and see if it decrease.
Your tank size?
What about your KH and Magnesium?

470-480 is where I want it.
Alk is steady at 8.5 via 45ml of BRS soda ash everyday
Magnesium 1456-1461 via 35ml of BRS Magnesium mix

My question is when does it become more cost effective to supplement Calcium another way.
Tank is a 220 WB, with rock, sand, etc probably 170 gallons or so.
