Dosing Container Alternative with pics!

Back in June I added the Bubble Magus and started dosing. I believe dosing daily has really helped growth and color.

I started with the Bulk Reef Containers, but then I needed them for mixing and for the manual pumps for the other two tanks.


So this is what I ended up with:

Today I decided to step it up with new containers from AquaBox:

Each one holds 1 US Gal. After all, that is how we mix it even if I do dose in ML, I mix in cups & gal.


Here is the new look. Much better.

Got mine at the dollar store for $3 a piece. No need in wasting money on them fancy ones. lol

If you got them at the dollar store, shouldn't they be $1 each??? 0_o

I've got to believe this is a new small startup operation in Virginia. The only reference I could find was on Richmond Reefer website HERE. And here's the introductory pricing he recently posted on Jan 20th.:

1 unit = $70
2 units = $130
3 units = $180

these hold 1 us gallon (4 L) and are 17.5"x5" with fittings attached.

No they just have a solid rod that goes to the bottom. When I use the Bulk Reef Supply stuff it always stays mixed.

I'm using these from a local Houston operation, www.buildinganobssession.com
There is a square lid that lifts off on top where the mixed solution can be poured in and there is a small bracket at the base inside that holds the red rigid tubing in place.
The vessels are marked in .25g increments.

d2mini 130g cube setup ---> very impressive and his cube was on the Ecotech website for about two years

d2mini 200g current setup ---> also very impressive

This gives me an idea, I've got 3" clear acrylic tubing that I picked up for free a while ago. Some scrap plastic and I should have some nice and long containers. LOL
