I'm baking the baking soda right now and have a few questions on adding it to the tank. The tank plus sump volume is 123 gallons. The current Alk is 6 and I want to get to at least 8. The reef calculator says 17.6 grams. The first question is how much water do I put this in? Does it matter how much RODI water I mix this in? The second question is since I'm raising it 2 points, should I do half the dose today and the second dose tomorrow. How slow does the dosing have to be? We have a Kent Marine AquaDose gravity drip container that is used for top off water that goes into the sump.
The Ph was low because of trapped Co2 in the house and now I have a airline from outside to the skimmer.
