I have a RS Max Nano, modified a bit by replacing the ATO system, added a Chill Solutions Chiller.

I want to add a DP-3, or DP-4, or DP-6, but have been concerned only about the head height of the pumps. They claim they are only about 18" and that just would not be enough for me.

I found this video

It seems that this reefer is running his Jebao dosing pumps for much longer distance that I would.

Can anyone shed some light on just how far these pumps can accuratly push fluids?

Sorry, but it seems confusing to me.

Thanks!

I cant see how head pressure would affect a peristaltic pump. So long as there are no air leaks in the tubing it should push. I have a dp3 that pulls maybe 2 foot and pushes another 4

Got it. I had to calibrate my pumps to 50 ml and not to 100 ml as suggested. It was the only way to get the pumps to dose low amounts, like 1 to 2 ml.
