Hey i've been using a Jebao 3.4 dosing pump for several months and have found leaking problems du to the silicon tube splitting. I noticed most of the tubing and even the ones not used have signs of splitting but my Alk dosing tube seems to always go first. I have purchased other generic brands of silicon tubbing to replace but the same thing has happened. I know there are different types of silicon such as Platinum cured silicon that is supposedly stronger.

Is this a common occurrence with dosing pumps? Can anyone recommend a strong silicon tubbing.?

Cheers, Brad.

Found this for you:
Jebao Auto Dosing Pump Silicone Tube ReplacementHallo everyone, I couldn't finde any informations about the right tubing size for the Jebao Dosing Pump. After some investigations i tried a Food-safe silicone hose and it works perfectly Inner diameter is 3mm and Outside is 5mm. Don't forget to recalibrate the Pumps.

Hope it helps

Per Jabeo:
For a Jebao 3.4 dosing pump, the replacement pump tubing size is typically 3mm inner diameter (ID) x 5mm outer diameter (OD), which is often referred to as "3mm x 5mm" tubing

Just figure out your existing I/D and wall thickness and buy a quality silicon tube replacement

The size tubing that came with the unit is ID 2mm x OD 4mm. I have replaced with one of the same size but that split as well. Ive just ordered the Platinum cured silicon so i'll see how that go's. Hopefully its as strong as it claims.

try a pool shop as a tech we have lines for acid and liquid chlorine that should list over a year

Thanks! I do have the tip of my tube just in the tank so it gets hit by my Gyer's and kept clean. :)

You should not have your dosing line inside your tank, for the same reason you must use RO with the reactor/dose container/ATO/whatever (and absolutely cannot use saltwater). :)

Yes i get that ! Ro only with my Kalk and i don't have a reactor. To clarify, the tip of my tubing is just above the water line so that when the gyer pushes water along the tank surface it makes a slight wave that hits the tubing periodically keeping it clean.
